The show opened with footage from last week’s shows… The opening video was shown… Hulk Hogan’s music played as Mike Tenay and Taz checked in on commentary. Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Miss Tessmacher headed to the ring together. Hogan said he loves coming to work because the greatest talent in the wrestling business is backstage.

Hogan called out Mr. Anderson, D’Angelo Dinero, Jeff Hardy, and Kurt Angle separately and they all obliged. Hogan referred to them as the fatal four, as they are the last four men in the TNA Title tournament. Hogan and Bischoff both praised Rob Van Dam’s performance as champion and discussed the tag match.

Dixie comes to the ring then calls out Flair, she goes onto to say he came to TNA to be a mentor and leader and he has failed at that and therefore suspended for 90 days without pay this causes Flair to get pissed off. He takes off his jacket and asks if she said he’ll be sitting on the sidelines while Fourtune does great things. He approaches Dixie and her husband jumps in the ring until they restrain him, then Hogan comes out with Anderson, Angle, Pope, and Hardy.

Impact Opener:

No intro tonight as we cut right into footage shot earlier of Jeff Hardy fighting with Abyss in the backstage area. Hardy pounds on Abyss for a bit and slams him into various objects before Abyss recovers and throws Hardy on a table. He brings Hardy into the area and they fight around the crew setting up for the show. Hardy hits Abyss in the ribs with a mop but Abyss kicks him and throws him into the guardrail. Hardy throws a chair at Abyss and they start making their way backstage again then Abyss chokes Hardy with an extension chord. Hardy takes the fight into a hallway where fans are waiting to get into the Impact Zone until security runs in and restrains Hardy.

Moore hits a shoulder block and he trades hip tosses with Hardy then they stand off in the middle of the ring. Moore pushes Hardy into the corner and rams his shoulder into Hardy’s ribs, then runs from corner to corner dodging Hardy, and Hardy misses and dives out of the ring. Moore hits a corkscrew dive to the outside, then brings Hardy back inside and hits a moonsault for a two count.

In-Ring Segment

Mr. Anderson’s music is playing but Matt Morgan comes out instead. Morgan is in the ring and wants the microphone to be lowered but it doesn’t. Morgan is yelling at whoever lowers the mic and tries again. The mic comes down slowly. He mocks Anderson’s introduction including the repetition of the name. The real Anderson is then out atop the ramp. The mic lowers right away for him. To show Morgan how easy it is, Anderson has the mic lowered again. Anderson wants to come closer and gets into the ring. Morgan is taunting Anderson to punch him and Anderson punches him in the lower regions. Anderson punches Morgan in the head a few times and then starts mocking him. Morgan puts a thumb to Anderson’s eye and then beats down Anderson. The microphone’s cord is used to choke Anderson until Jeff Hardy makes the save. Hardy and Anderson double-team Morgan until two security officials hit the ring and are acting really un-security like with the tossing around of Hardy and Anderson. The security are actually fighting with Anderson and Hardy until D’Lo Brown, Al Snow, and Pat Kenney hit the ring and D’Lo admonishes them.

Samoa Joe vs Jeff Hardy

The fans are chanting for Joe, so Hardy gets out and hi fives all of the fans at ringside? He gets back in and Joe kicks him and punches him in the corner, then dumps him over the ropes. Joe slams him into the ring steps but Hardy fights back and throws Joe’s head into the apron, then gets back inside and works on Joe in the corner. Hardy puts him in a rear chinlock but Joe drops down and hits a jawbreaker, then kicks Hardy in the face and hits a big kneedrop. Joe picks him up and Hardy punches back and whips Joe, but Joe hits a back kick and starts pounding on Hardy on the mat. Joe runs at Hardy and hits a back elbow and a snapping toe kick, then goes for a pin but only gets a two count.
